Posted by Ruben in category Cervera del Rio Alhama with 3 Comments. Put yours!.
And I started to write again, posting pictures, and we will continue, and is wearing long wanted to post some pictures of my people, Cervera Alhama River , specifically the remains of the Castle, which although in ruins, can see quite well what could be its structure.
Located above the San Antonio Peña Muslim construction and after the invasion of Cervera S.VII early, under the administration of Banu Almost, Visigoth family converted to Islam, was when he had built the main part of the Castle on the Rock. Later it was rebuilt in the fourteenth century and in the fourteenth century.
Its original construction adopts a longitudinal configuration setting its path to the uneven terrain. It consisted of a central core formed by the main tower, rectangular and with a well inside, a long esplanade protected by a wall with a series of cave dwellings, and a second defensive line as a barrier outside a second water tank pierced in the rock, but now as veráis in photos is something ruionoso status,
.

In the Castle itself and around, you can see many caves, which serve as shelter, old, its occupants
In its current state, also distinguished quite well the shapes of the windows and part of the original structure
Finally a few general views of other structures that are seen walking through the wreckage, and overviews of its walls, caves and lower windows below the walls, sort of rectangles with stones, do not know they could be, and stone structure, which is my favorite, and the way it could have been a drinker, a seat, or know that, but every time I go, I sit there and breathe the fresh air and tranquility that has that place, and it's great.
Castle Historical information taken from here and here
I hope you like them, Be happy.

Google Logo dedicated to Pac-Man
Posted by Ruben in category Business with 3 Comments. Put yours!.
Ugh, what can you say after months of inactivity on the blog?, I think little
, So without further dedicate myself to write about what the title of the Post describes.
I've written before in other previous posts, as this pot of something that personally always caught my attention, and I sure you had noticed already that the logo of Google is not always the same, it is dynamic, and often , is amended to refer to various events, important events or any circumstances which they consider relevant, of which there have been many over the years , some real works of art .
Curiously, also added that these logos are designed by Korean artist Dennis Hwang since back in July 14, 2000 conduct the Memorial logo Bastille Day .
And that is today's post, the logo that recently we could see on the front page of Google , one of the most curious and dynamic of all time no doubt, and it was dedicated to the famous video game Pacman or Pac Man to so many games I've played, and that certainly could play in Google's own page on the logo created for this purpose.
And after this short introduction of Logo enjoyed enjoy the Pacman Pac Man:
May 22, 1980 - Launch of video game Pac-Man

The small family the bus
Posted by Ruben in the category Personal with 11 Comments. Put yours!.
Despite the above, I have also long been taking a bus from Monday to Friday, perhaps because time was to go to class, and I was totally crowded, it had fallen into the routine you can get a group of people sharing daily without know nothing.
So much for bullshit, some will think. Indeed, it is, but I wanted to write,
.
And every day, Monday aa Friday at the same hour, while still putting finishing streets ...., I take "The Bus", in which stop until a week ago I got on my own, but in which another lady with me now, at least temporarily.
Once up, I'm starting to see that small group of people who share my journey daily, sometimes some new, sometimes not, sometimes more, sometimes less, but there is a repeating group, although over Christmas there must have been many holidays, missing many, but on January 7 and returned all to normal,
.
At the bottom we found a middle-aged gentleman with his beard perfectly cut and half the bus is the empty seat where I sit every day in front where I found my traveling companion, the elderly gentleman with his skin sucks black and white mustache, cutting should indeed, as it often scratches.
To my left, with reflective yellow coat, a worker currante observed through the window, which looked just the damage it does to the view which is reflected.
A little further back, a young girl, in a double seat, waiting for the bus to the next stop where I get myself to meet her friend and begin to run the stories from the previous day, or go figure that, because I there, and not go.
And do not forget the curly haired girl (pretty good, by the way), who always seems to occupy the same single seat if it is free, or we can see if someone else is busy.
And there we are, every day, the same routines, the same stops, the same people, the same bus, without knowing anything, each embedded in their thoughts, but sharing the same moments of our lives during the duration of the way.
And writing writing, I have reached my stop, so here we go down, I, the lord of the white mustache must sting, the two young friends, and those who for that day have joined "our little family bus "noting, that stops them every day and have lowered the fixed-bearded gentleman, the workman reflective, and beautiful curly hair girl.
Have a good day, and until the next day, I think to myself.

Santander
Posted by Ruben in category Cantabria with 3 Comments. Put yours!.
And finally, I saved for last, the main town in my vacation stay, and from which went to other places I visited: Santander . And like many things could be said of Santander, and all good, just in time to write much, to read things that are left over the Internet, Guides, books, etc. I will let the rest, and put lots of pictures,
But is only a small sample of all the best this beautiful city, I would definitely recommend visiting if you have a chance.
To start a photo of the arcaded square and a statue that is at the entrance
We can not miss the magnificent Cathedral of Santander
Also worth taking a long walk from the Playa del Sardinero, by a long way there, and can observe large seascapes, several tiny beaches, Matalenas Park, the golf course, etc., up to the lighthouse. In this walk, simply put a picture of a garden Matalenas Park and a photo that I really like a cliff.
Three buildings that also deserved my attention was The City Hall, one of which I had heard before: The building of Banco Santander Central Hispano, and finally the impressive Casino de Santander
Reaching the "Piquio Gardens", you are also strange figures of which I discuss only two, ![]()
Although Santander has its port, is not detracting from the small marina known as "Puertochico" which gives a nice view
Of course, I could not finish this post without a few pictures of the beach, and although the quality could be better, I think are nicer day so, so enjoy these two snapshots of the Playa del Sardinero
And finally, finally, I left a few snapshots of various famous landmarks, including the Palace of the Magadela, the talk in this post , or the bay of Santander, views from a trip on a boat can enjoy from other views, which from the city would not see.
Finally, a brief comment, is that if something good has Santander if do not have much time to visit, is that virtually everything I post is straight, though, taking a loooong walk if you do walk but recommended, or bus, as virtually one line through all those sites.
For me, the ideal is to start at the Sardinero beach, leaving the car in the parking lot of the football stadium of Racing Santander, and start walking along the promenade, reaching dinde Piquio Gardens enjoy a nice view Sardinero Beach.
Following walking, it joins the Avenida de la Reina Victoria, enjoying a nice walk with great views as well as other beaches like Camel Beach, named for a rock that resembles the shape of a camel.
At the end of the Avenue, and move forward towards the center, you have one of the obligatory stops: El Palacio de la Magdalena . Once visited, and returning to the Avenida de la Reina Victoria, on our way, enjoying more beaches, such as Playa de la Magdalena or the dangers beach and nautical club, until the Puerto Chico.
If you still have strength, enlazarás with the famous Paseo de Pereda in which route and nearby, you can enjoy many elements such as Los Jardines de Pereda, Santander Bank Building, arcaded square, the Cathedral, etc..
Everything said in the previous paragraph, is discussed in a very generic, without going too much into detail, to give you an idea of what I have said before, so much of things are very close to each other, but perhaps, to make it walk once too.
Anyway, as I said, there are several buses that go by the tourist areas.
So take what is written as a guide, but it is best to get an idea is to take a shot and see, because I have many things left unnamed.
I hope you have enjoyed the photos, and if you are thinking of making a visit to Santander, not what you think!, I personally liked it.

The Picos de Europa and Covadonga
Posted by Ruben in category Cantabria with 5 Comments. Put yours!.
Following the visit we did for Asturias, also popped one day at the Picos de Europa and Covadonga . Our intention had been up too Covadonga Lakes, but the weather was bad so we did, for another time,
.
In the Picos de Europa did not stay long and rode a cable car there (Which by the way should sound scary, especially when there is fog), so we were just watching the scenery for a while and went to Covadonga immediately, then a few pictures of the visit, which was quite foggy as you see
:
As I said, after the Picos de Europa, we went to Covadonga, although we could not go up to the Lakes, due to bad weather (Incidentally, Nosé if now is always true, but to climb to the Lakes, it seems that we must do it in a bus equipped for that purpose, you can not climb with your vehicle), so we were walking around, enjoying the scenery, and visiting the Monastery and the Virgin of Covadonga. Enjoy the pictures!:
Certainly worth a visit if you have the opportunity, I hope you have enjoyed.
Be happy
