Schedule Post on Wordpress

As you can see took a few days without writing anything, well, that's because it is being one weeks time rather excasa.

But it said in the title of the post, could have prevented Programming posts of the week for example, if you know in advance whether I would write, is that WordPress allows you the ability to schedule and that post automatically published on the date they specify, which is very useful if you'll be busy few days, but before you have free time to write the post, or if you go a few days away, but you have to write something.

For example I already I have scheduled the next Minigame Monday 07/02/26 to be published that day at 8 am precisely.

How do you program a post in WordPress?

Based on my previous experience and has been successful, I've done is this:

1) Write the post normally (Control Panel / Write / Write entry)

2) Once written, look at the drop-down menus on the right side, and displays it says: Date of entry

*! Watch out, by default, the Edit box now, unchecked, so mark it as in the image.

* Once done, the next thing you have to do is put the Time in which you display the Post:

  • The drop-down refers to the month.
  • The image 22 is the day of the month you want to appear, and 2007, the year.
  • The numbers behind the @, refer to the time that I bring up the post.

So modify them according to your preferences.

Remember: Until now, you write the post, you've checked the edit date, and have modified the data according to your preferences.

3) The next step is to display the Menu "input status" which by default should be something like:

Well, what you have to do is change the input status from Draft to Published

4) Congratulations, you've programmed your input, now you only need to give Post entry, and if all goes well, in the Control panel / dashboard on the right menu you will see something like this:

Well I think this is all, I hope I was not mistaken and that works, but you can leave comments if there is something wrong. I have done this based on the Version 2.3.1 of WordPress, for older versions, I think the same.

  • Hahahaha I like the approach, IT for dummies by dummies.

  • It is an interesting tool for WordPress, but so far have not used it to publish future post if not to publish last post when the site moved to blog format, but good to know that one day there if I need to schedule a post . Greetings.

  • many thanks man was not sure how you're a genius

  • Ruben friend I have the 2.1.3 and do everything they say it that way and public tells me missing eg 2 minutes and when they tell me those two minutes missing 1 then 2, 3, 4 etc etc minutes or comes time and do not publish it I may be due to that friend agradesco let your reply and I am posting the uqe as it says in this page from already thank you very much Ruben.

  • Sorry I can not help Raul, but I can not think where the fault may be because the computer is not my field.
I've been testing several options when programming the post, but I always end up running.
I've looked at other tutorials online, and in all places more or less what I got, you should not have problems.
If you try to do the following, which really is a little different to what I stated, though in principle it would not matter:

    1. You write the Post
    2. You hit Save and continue editing.
    3. Now, in a state of the entry, change the point A Published Draft. (See post)
4.The date for the entry, put the date and time you want to show the Post, EDITING AND MARKING THE BOX DATE (View Post)
    5. Click on the Publish button
    6. You should see the control panel / board should see the remaining time for publication should be input and published.

Other options that come to mind as the source of the problem may be:

    - Any problem with the time of where you live and where you have the Web site server (Offset)

    - What if when you tried to schedule the post for example wanted to do at 8 o'clock, put as time 20:00, not 08:00, but then do not appear as scheduled post, otherwise change the day, you'd setting a date earlier in the day, and would have already been published.

Sorry for not being more helpful, but I could not tell where the fault specifically, an operation principle is simple enough that it should not cause problems. Sorry.

Let's see if anyone else who reads it can give any solution, but I can not, :-( .

    Regards
