And now comes the turn to enjoy a few pictures of buildings "official" Stockholm and they are also really beautiful, such as official government sites, specifically Parliament, and other royal buildings such as the Royal Palace, which although is no longer a royal residence, if it is still home to many actual events, since kings have their offices there, so enjoy them a great panoramic first courtesy of Txus (Recommended click on it and expand it, to appreciate it better):

And after is a lovely view, a few more photos:

And like any self-respecting real building, could not miss the ever-accommodating firm and Royal Guard, so also devote some pictures of the Stockholm Royal Guard, both of the royal buildings in the Parliament, and the Royal Guard on the Drottningholm Palace . The truth is that like most of the royal guards are very disciplined and protocols (in the way they walk, move, change of guard, etc.), while not as rigid as the royal guard in London, and you could to talk briefly with them, or throw you a few photos with them, do not put any fault, provided no traspasarás a minimum distance from which you could not approach them, but very nice people, lol:

In the last post I thought I have to do my trip to Stockholm, I will show photos of Stockholm varied with a brief explanation of each, thus changing the structure a bit the last post, as the theme of the photos that I have left is varied, and although I could put a photo by post and that's it, would be very small, is not it, :-) , So I hope you like:

a) The commercial streets:

In these photos you can see a few images of the streets "known" and "famous" Stockholm commercially speaking, almost obligatory visit and where you will get most of the memories you want to take Stockholm, :-), unless you want very specific things:

b) The lollipop

He could not help but post some pictures of one of Stockholm's most famous historical monuments: The Lollipop, or more technically a great glass obelisk, which can be seen in the center and in an area close to the shopping streets and a large square, as seen in the photos:

c) University:

What also caught my attention and I was extremely beautiful, is the University, well, more than the technical careers University engineering economic campus, letters, etc., were elsewhere. Pay attention to the ceiling so pretty picture within the university, the truth is that no comparison with the CPS ................., hehe:

d) Stortorget Square

Below you can see some pictures of Stortorget Square or Plaza Mayor, another remarkable place in Stockholm, where among other things you can see, in the central part of the picture, the red and yellow houses are two popular bars "gay" in Stockholm in which according Dorian serves the best pies in Stockholm, :-) Apart from that at Easter and Christmas becomes one of the most emblematic places in Stockholm with markets and stalls:

e) A gas station sea

And to finish the post, I would show some pictures of a "sea gas station", and that caught my attention, because it is not something you see often, myself, had never seen one, did not think existed , and he would not see her :-):

Another thing that struck me is that Stockholm's streets crowd of statues will surely have a reason, but in many there is nothing, just the statue and that's it, I found it quite funny, because not that there were few precisely. So enjoy a few photos of sculptures and statues in the streets of Stockholm.

Highlight all the statues:

  • A statue in which we have the pleasure of watching Txus imitating the pose of the statue (Photo 8)
  • A statue dedicated to St. George (Patron of Aragon) , but in Stockholm must also represent something similar (Photo 3)
  • The curious statue of a bronze mouse, because yes it was funny, as we were going down the street no more, I stepped on the mouse and said, ahhhh a mouse, and saw it was bronze, there were several, just like that, were cool, but as circumstances may seem really, hehe. (Photo 13)

Sigtuna is a town located by Lake Mälaren, Sweden, the Stockholm metropolitan area, founded by King Erik the Victorious (Erik Segersäll) around the year 980.

Located near the Stockholm-Arlanda, Stockholm 35 minutes, along with the sparkling waters of Mälaren, during its first two centuries of existence flourished as a residence of the crown and mall. The city was attacked and destroyed in 1187 by warriors from Karelia and were under the command of the kingdom of Novgorod (located in territories that today belong to Russia), but was rebuilt and had some importance until it was gradually replacing its paper nearby cities like Uppsala, Visby, Kalmar and Stockholm. It was in this city where he first coined currency in Sweden, under the reign of King Olaf the Treasurer (Olof Skötkonung), in the late X.

It currently has about 8,000 inhabitants and is a tourist destination of some significance, as it is the first and oldest city in Sweden.

From stand especially Sigtuna ruins of the first churches built in eastern Sweden, as well as a church (I do not remember his name) who is the first Christian church in Sweden, as told us a very nice man who was there, so this data is not official.

You can also visit Sigtuna Steninge Palace, which features glass-blowing workshops and an art gallery as well as the royal palace Rosersberg, rent boats and fishing gear, golf, and enjoy beautiful walks in the streets looking wooden houses.

And now a few pictures, mainly of the church and the ruins that is the part where we focus more, and still not encotramos all, since they are scattered throughout the town:

Today I decided to talk a bit about Stockholm , but historically, I will in the form of personal opinion and what I have called the attention of my stay there.

The truth is that Nosé where to start, because the lifestyle is totally different to Spain, infinitely better of course, since one of the things that struck me is that although there are people of many cultures (I to see Spanish, English, French, Swedish [logically], Germans, Pakistanis, Hindus, Indians, etc.) because everyone goes there to his roll, but without messing with anyone, and everyone was very respectful and very friendly , if you asked people not put any problem in help, and like I said unlike Spain, people go there to his ball, and few people will be talking on the street or in transport, at least Swedes, yes foreigners who spoke more, but the Swedes, there are few who are not listening to music, nothing more. I also turned curious, when I say listen to music, not like in Spain, it is normal wear headphones without more, there, many people had real monsters these giant headphones you cover your whole ear, almost more than auricularres normal.

But that did not matter, because if something caught my attention too is the way people dress, and had many clothes, from posh and demure, even the most eccentric, see cowboys, heavys, Hawaiian, etc. , but no matter, there the people do not look bad although seen in a "rare" in Spain would hear murmurs at every step in your path, :-).

Without doubt, an important aspect of Stockholm communication are excellent transport network (train, metro, bus, boat, tram) to scroll, and honestly I thought was excellent, as soon we became "experts" metro users commuter train to go almost anywhere, as the accommodation we had a 20 minute train ride from Stockholm, but is rather "easy" to understand its operation, considering that around we arrived in Barcelona, and that if you meter was chaos!.

Following the transport network, said that a basic aspect to function effectively, is that you can acquire several transportation bonds (we took a 6-day but remember correctly, but you also get 16 tickets, monthly, etc) can be used in any form of public transport which is quite comfortable.

Significant also seemed "education" are public, and is that for example in any train or subway people always came first, and then rose, something that I did not see in Barcelona, it seemed the jungle, the same way that there you can upload your pet any means of transport and the bicycle because many people go there by bike, yes, as leis, if you have a dog, you can climb without any problem, both bus, subway, etc., unbelievable, is not it, in Spain, it seems unfeasible that!. It is also true that in Stockholm did not seem that many people have dog, I saw very few.

It is also amazing how confident you are the Swedes, most at least, and Iron Txus student card had expired, I had but everywhere saying we had believed him, or to teach a little one enough for all , and the last day, as we had no transport card, we took a pack of 16, is that we spend almost no!, because we were going to sting us and we travel directly opened the security fence and we would be undergoing , luckily there was then reviewers, because they see how they say that they have not wanted to bite us, hehe. Or on buses alike, were teaching for picasen you, and they did not care, it stung you travel, just as there is the phrase "Become the Swede", because they spend all, so clear.

Another aspect that caught my attention on food establishments, or even shopping centers and bars, is that the bathrooms were paid, not much, 5 Kr but remember correctly, and if you go several, one can hold the door and Wc use another, but it seems unfeasible in Spain to be charged in pubs Wc use, right?.

Just as I was curious, especially in fast food establishments, is called Refill, which is quite a lot less than buying drink again, you do a refill of drink, for a € 0.5, but recall, that in some places even is free, as in the Pizza Hut. And although he had to pay, many times the drink machines were self service, so in many cases people even did not pay and your refill, or if you had the right to a cafe, then you can take 2 perfectly, emphasizing the again what the Swedes are very confident and they spend a bit of everything.

And finally to end, as it will surely leave me many things, but now it's what I agreed, commenting that struck me also some domestic aspects of the houses, like for example many homes do not have bathtubs, but simply have a grid on the floor and the shower, do not even have something that separates the floor of the shower from the rest, many homes do not have blinds, curtains or draperies may have, but usually do not have shutters, the latches go backwards in Spain , and also all doors open outward normal is it inwards, I think, at least in Spain.

Well, I hope that despite the breadth of the post I have found interesting, and thank you if you get here, :-)
